the PPG organization.
Highlights and Benefits
Position SummaryThe Automation Engineer will perform projects
related to automation equipment with the goal of achieving cost
reductions and process and part improvements. The Automation
Engineer assists all plant operations related to automation
investments by controlling processes to levels that meet
expectations related to quality, cost, control, consistency and
customer specifications. This role is required to troubleshoot
variability for reduction or elimination.Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to
stand for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally
required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel,
crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up
to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing
the duties of this job the employee is exposed to a shop
environment on a daily basis. The noise level in the work
environment is usually moderate. However, on some instances this
job may require work in areas where ear protection is
necessary.
